With Ty as governor, property tax reform will get done.  For instance, legislation this year would have given the people the power to fight back against local tax hikes — but it was vetoed by the governor. I’m confident Governor Masterson signs that bill.

So, while solving massive problems like the property tax crisis can seem unattainable, when we remove the roadblocks standing in our way, we can finally clear a path to real relief and speed up the process.

Now, contrast that with a potential Governor Cindy Holscher. 

All those bills that were vetoed by the governor?  Not only did she of course side with the governor on those overrides, Holscher even voted against bills the governor signed!  This includes the law banning sanctuary cities, our historic housing legislation to build single-family homes, and even the Truth in Taxation law that simply provides   transparency by requiring revenue-neutral rate notices, public hearings, and recorded votes!

Ironically, even Governor Kelly felt that Senator Cindy Holscher would be too far left for Kansas, so while she circled the wagons and is backing her in the general, there is no reason to truly believe that she altered her first assessment of Senator Holscher.

Holscher is hiding her true legislative agenda on the campaign trail, but as governor, she would ultimately answer to the most radical elements of her base.  She is the most radical nominee for governor in Kansas history!

We must recognize that the Democratic party has fundamentally changed. A radical faction has pushed mainstream Democrats aside, replacing the party of JFK with hardline ideological groups like the Democratic Socialists of America. They view our Constitution not as a shield for liberty, but as a roadblock, and they do not tolerate dissent in their own party – only moderate language during the campaign to win the vote. Allowing this movement to capture state leadership puts the very survival of our Republic at risk.

To that end, an understated impact is the governor’s appointment power. Not only cabinet heads, but dozens of boards and commissions, most of which don’t require Senate confirmation and whose work is never covered in the media.  Many of these seats are on the line right now. You can be certain a Holscher administration will pack these powerful bodies with far-left ideologues who will rapidly shift our state off course.

Please do not dismiss this situation as a temporary phase or something that only happens in other states.  As Ronald Reagan said, ““Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Remember: Not to vote IS to vote. Do not take a passive stance on this election. Make your voice heard. Vote like the future of your family depends on the results. This time, it truly does.
