Why Elections Matter

Remember your tax assessment?

This fall you will elect officials for your school board, your water district, the JCCC, and your city officials. Each of these entities receives a percentage of your tax bill. Vote for candidates who will be responsible with your money. And it’s not just money. The greatest portion of your tax dollars goes towards the school districts that are testing far below proficiency.

SCHOOL BOARDS K-12

Every parent wants the best education for their child. Our “highly rated“ schools are failing our students. Our children deserve a real education with measurable results that provide parents and taxpayers evidence of success.

JCCC TRUSTEES

Johnson County Community College is a bedrock of our community. The recent decline in enrollment should not be met with a higher cost to taxpayers. Elect leaders who are committed to fiscal responsibility and continuing a legacy of educational excellence.

WATER BOARD

While other communities in our country have suffered, Johnson County has maintained the highest quality water supply. It is vitally important that we continue this tradition and do not allow extreme ideologies to implement policies that could put every Johnson County citizen at risk.

CITY OFFICIALS

Our elected officials at the city level cast a vision for our communities. Mayors and city council members must balance community infrastructure with growth potential and quality of life. If you want Johnson County to be an affordable place to live, we must invest in leaders who are invested in you.
